Michael Pruitt began practice in 1989 and is a shareholder and member of the Executive Committee at JacksonWhite. Mike practices in the area of labor and employment law, commercial litigation, real estate litigation and government regulation. He focuses on assisting businesses and individuals in all phases of employment law and regulation.

Mike was admitted to practice in the State of Arizona in January 1988. Mike is licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mike earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Brigham Young University in 1984. He then attended the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University where he graduated in 1987. During this time, Mike served as editor of the Brigham Young University Journal of Public Law. Mike was named to the SuperLawyer list as a prominent attorney for 2013 through 2017. No more than 5 percent of lawyers in Arizona are selected for this honor annually. Additionally, Mike is featured in the 24th & 25th edition of The Best Lawyers in America for his work in the area of employment law, an honor that less than 5 percent of private practice attorneys nationally receive.

Prior to joining the firm, Mike served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable William E. Eubank of the Arizona Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Arizona State Bar Labor and Employment Section, the Arizona Employment Lawyers Association (AzELA), the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), and the American Association for Justice. Mike has received an AV rating, the highest offered by Martindale-Hubbell’s© peer review rating service.

Mike is currently a member of the Arizona State Bar Labor and Employment Section, Association of Wage and Hour Attorneys, American Association for Justice, Arizona Employment Lawyers Association (AzELA), and the National Employment Lawyers Association.
